Bank of America = Scammers.

BOA has been very good to me...*shrug*

On another note, my friend just switched from WAMU to Fargo...all you guys who thing WAMU is amazing, there was a little news story that many did not catch.

Don't quote me on this, but apparently WAMU is in the hole for BILLIONS with all the foreclosures that have been occurring lately...they made some really shitty investments with a ton of untrustworthy individuals...more so than any other bank...

Good luck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

What kind of *** only has 3 cents in a bank account?

I use BoA...never a maintence fee, never a penalty of any kind.

Plus, they let me look at my portfolio when all the sites (like e*trade) where my stocks are held are NWS.

You live in the worst housing ever if you can't pay rent with cash. They are ****tards for only accepting check or MO. What, they think the cash isn't going to be real or something? ****, it's not hard to check for counterfeits, and if they do come across one, they had to get the cash somehow, either from mail or in person, so they know who the **** passed it.

Maybe I'm the only one who thinks this way, but oh well.....

i dont know man.

i have lived in 3 different complexes in 3 different cities ( in San Bernardino county). and when i was young and lived with my mother, we also lived in 3 different complexes in 2 different cities (in San Diego county)

both of us have had to use MO's and Checks always...one place allowed credit cards but no cash.

What *decent* landlord doesn't write a receipt?

Morgan
i have not gotten a reciet for payment in any of my 3 apartment complexes that ive lived in.

one was section 8 (although i was one of the only ones who wasnt on section 8 lol) but the other 2 were in richy areas. we're talking 1200 a month for a 1 bed/1 bathroom apt, so its not like they were all ran by some slum landlord.

see I had BoA before too. And I got charged a maintanence fee. I put $100 in to open the account because I thought I was going to use it for my direct deposit in the army. a few months later it was not $100 anymore.

jmn, there probly is something that says if you dont have a certain amount theyll charge you, do you have a free checking account? Cuz I know mine wasnt when I got it, and thats why it cost.

Wachovia is worse than BoA IMO though. they are just ****ign dumb.

I have NEVER had any beef with Wachovia. No ridiculous fees. No "missing" money. 100% customer satisfaction when small problems do occur, like me losing my card.

Big banks do purposefully push their small clients around though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif I think Flip posted something about this a while back.

direct deposit is the key to no fees at BoA.

Just read the OP, but you need to get a different type of account that doesnt surcharge you for keeping a low balance, i know my student account at bbt has no minimum balance and free everything //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I like Bank Of America (BofA). BofA doesn't require a minimum amount for direct deposit...it just needs a single direct deposit per month. I've got an account that only gets a single $5 direct deposit from my check each month and it keeps my account in the clear. No minimum balance needed either, and its just the basic checking account.

I like them also because the misses has a BofA account, and when I need to transfer money into it the money gets there instantly. Any of the other banks take at least 2 days.

Oh yeah...to the Army guy who didn't use BofA for direct deposit....you have just under 60 days to set it up. If you don't thats when they take the fees out.
