Bank of America = Scammers.

I dont trust banks, nor do i need someone else looking after my money. Plus im always on the lookout for deals, and cash talks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif
i dont trust banks either really, but the last time i had $500 in my wallet i couldnt fit it in my pocket (that was a long time ago though haha) too much of a PITA.

the bank is federally mandated to insure me for 100k, so i think some money here and there in my account is still safer than if someone came in my house, found my stash of cash and booked it.

i dont see how your debit card wouldn't work for a deal you found either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

ive never understood cashing checks. why not just deposit it in your bank account and then use the atm when you need cash?
Because cash doesnt have any kinds of fees ever. I like being able to get cash anytime I may need it, just in case of whatever. I have credit cards for my bills and my online purchases, which I rarely keep any kind of balance on unless it was an emergency.

I dont carry large amounts of cash either. That is what the credit cards are for. Yes I know they are like banks but none of mine have an annual fee nor do I pay interest on them.

I definitely understand the safety factor but I have my safe bolted to a concrete slab I poured for that very reason. Its pretty safe. And if I am there and they are getting to my safe it means I am already dead and dont really care anyways.

Some deals dont take credit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You need smaller bills!

If someone comes to my house, they should be more worried about me then my money.

Not many people have personal credit card processors.

i would keep more cash around, but i cant pay for my rent with cash. its just a hassle, cause then i have to go to the bank with that money to deposit it to get an MO or a check.

mokedaddy: im not seeing what fees you are talking about. i dont have any fees at wamu.

why do you want to give your money to a large corporation that really doesnt care about you, and only sees you as a number and a provider of monetary funds?

INSTEAD go with a credit union for MANY reasons! .. and I totally agree with the proffessors view of Credit Unions, they are SOOO Much more than a financial institution,...I was with BOFA for 14 years and always calling to fight with them... I went to a CU and have never had the problems i used to with ANY bank.. they , a crdt union, usually give you higher interest rates on your savings and other money accounts, it is also easier to get a loan for a car or other large purchase too, and you have a VOTE, or at least some say, in the functioning of the union. It is run by a group of your peers, Not some corporate a$$hole that is just in the game to feed his greasy pork bloated face with your green.

I have a mortgage which i pay online, i cash my check at BOA, go across the street to deposit exactly enough into my woodforest account and pay for it online, i do this with all my bills.

I have an alarm and 2 80 lb dogs at my house. So if someone comes for my stuff, they better have a gameplan.

And if im there, i keep my .40 under my pillow, and a loaded shotgun in the corner. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

I stick with more local names that aren't as big as in First place bank and Farmers National bank. Had Farmers since I was a kid and not one problem with them. Only had First place bank 2 years, but no problems. I keep plenty of money in them though.

My fiance has BoA and she has had problems with them before. I forget what, cause sometimes when she talks to me it's in one ear and out the other. Shhhhh, don't tell her that!

hmm well in that case its a little more feasible. just wouldnt work for me, which is where my point of view comes from. i can see why you do what you do though.

Ya, everyone is diffferent. BOA screwed me a couple times on overdrafts, where i racked up like 400 dollars in overdrafts alone because they take the LARGEST amount out first, so i had a 400 dollar light bill go through, and then i got hit with like 5 small fast food transactions at 35.00 a piece. I called and told them this and they wouldnt do sht. After that i cut my debit card up and started using cash. If i dont have atleast 100 bucks in my wallet, i feel broke.

i dont blame you. my gf had wells fargo and when she deposited a check once, 90% went to over draft fees and i had to deal with her hysterical ***.

You live in the worst housing ever if you can't pay rent with cash. They are ****tards for only accepting check or MO. What, they think the cash isn't going to be real or something? Shit, it's not hard to check for counterfeits, and if they do come across one, they had to get the cash somehow, either from mail or in person, so they know who the **** passed it.

Maybe I'm the only one who thinks this way, but oh well.....
