Bank of America = Scammers.

Several times, when my checking account gets low, I miraculously get a maintenance fee. That fee will overdraft my account, and if I don't catch it before the end of the day, $25 fee. I honestly think that it's not a coincidence, and that they program their system to do that.

i know a few people with B of A accounts and every single one of them has said it is the gayest bank they have ever dealt with.

well fargo is gay too.

i like my free wamu account. this is my first account that i have had, and after years and years of having it i have not wanted to leave, not once. good shit in my eyes.

edit: oh and LOL at a $6 monthly mantinance fee

You may have an account that states you have to have a certain minimum amount in your account at all time. If you go below they charge you whenever the bill cycle hits.

Could be your issue.

i had an issue with BofA as well

i lived in an apartment and the management sucked so i was looking for a new place. end of the month came and i thought i would need to stay another month so i wrote out a check to my apartments.

turns out the next day i found a place i could move into on the 1st so i called BofA and asked them to stop payment on the check and they said no problem

well a week later i look at my account and they cashed the check which caused me to overdraft by a few hundred. i called and asked WTF and they said they had a record of me calling but no record of me asking to stop payment

WTF so I called just to shoot the shit with the CS rep? i never got my money back and i had to pay overdraft fees and the balance back

There's no minimum balance requirement. I normally don't even have a maintenance fee. I only get them when I have a low balance.

secondly. first arkansas and arkansas federal credit union are both bad.

first arkansas, i had to pay 125 in fees because i forgot i had an xbox life subscription coming out.... so i bought some stuff on a tuesday off ebay (phone accessories, 4 thing) FRIDAY xbox live pulled the yearly subscription out (i had checked watched online) and some ****ing how the xbox live was switched around and then the 4 charges after, instead of 1 overdraft, i got 5. I even showed the printout saying that the xbox live charged after.
