Bandpass Vs. Ported

I have a 12" RF Punch HX2 running off of a US Acoustics USX800D amp. Which box would be better for this setup? I currently have a bandpass and it's really quiet when the music is turned down, this is because of the box, right? Opinions welcome, let me know what you think.

go with the ported. technically the bandpass is supposed to be louder if the box is built correctly. but i doubt you build the bandpass or you had a custom one built....so my guess is the box isn't right for your sub. even going sealed would be better then that. my suggestion is to get a ported box made specifically for your sub, not prefab.

Most Rockford guys I have talked too all went vented with these subs for maximum SPL.

i have a prefab bandpass box from bestbuy by probend. I would kind of prefer to go wiht the prefab cause the sub sould be out of the car in a month and into another car. So which would be better- a prefab sealed or ported?

prefab? sealed. unless you got a ported box made specifically for that sub... i dont know if any companies that build prefab boxes do that. actually...im sure they don't.
