Bandpass box + 10" RF =$25 should I?

My buddy has a small Bandpass box and a 10" SVC Rockford RFZ3810 8ohm sub. that he only used a couple months. he only wants $25 for it. but eventually i would like to upgrade the sub down the road. so are there any good 10" subs that would perform well in a small bandpass around 300-400RMS?

also i would like to get a 5 channel amp to run my components and sub together. I'm looking at the Soundstream Rubicon RUB5.800 but i have never dealt with a 8ohm SVC before so i would have to find a amp that runs 8ohms correct?

any amp can run 8ohms

how do you know what power the amp puts out at 8ohm?
