I watch horror movies ALOT! Rarely have scary *** dreams anymore, I did go through a phase when I was younger about them. Very scary stuff, I have a few writin down somewhere if you guys want to know what a 8 year old was having dreams about.

When I was 8 I would never really watch movies, my parents were divorced and both lived in the country(opposite site of town...w00t). So most of my scary dreams were of me outside and shit jumpin outta the woods/grabbin me etc. There the scariest when its really close to reality...like a double dream thing where you think your awake and find your parents dead in the front room with the killer lookin at you with a bloody knife...then wake up.

Edit: I'll have to find where I wrote em down, but after I'd have a freaky dream I'd always write it down. Loved writing books when I was younger...hate writing anything now.

No. I HATE horror movies. I hate them. I avoid them at all costs. And I'm not lying. I've probably only seen one all the way through, Silence of the Lambs about 6 years ago.

There may be one of the problems. You might have such a fear of this movies that your subconcious (spl?) mind is thinking about them. It wouldn't take much, maybe a preview for a horror movie on tv. How often do you have these dreams and are you having them on a regular basis. Also have you had the same dream more than once. I watch horror movies all the time (my wife hates it) and I never have scarey dreams (hell most of the time I don't have a dream). The only horror movie that ever gave me nightmares was the exorcist.

One of my friends in high school was a really good artist and would wake up and draw the images and things he say in his nightmares. Had a couple that scared the sh!t out of me.

Okay, this might sound ****ing freaky...

A friend of mine is into the paranormal and ghost stuff.

And my mom is adept at sensing ghosts.

When my moms family move into the the house, the man who sold it, his wife had left him. The rumors around the town were that he beat her alot.

So my mom repeatedly gets attacked in her sleep by a malicious ghost several years later. Basicaly she is being chased around this room by a man who she knows is going to kill her. This leads her to believe that this man has killed his wife in the room.

So, puttng 1 and 2 together, my friend and and my mom think the ghost is manifesting itself in my dream (particularly the second one). I am sleeng in the exact room where this murder may have occoured.

So, hows THAT?

I don't have nightmares like I used to, but the ones I remember are almost always 1:in color, 2:etremely vivid, containing voices and physical sensations.

My grandma used to tell me not to eat so much ice cream, or things with sugar in them before i went to bed.

Well I know I used to have a lot of nightmares around the time that my girl and I were having troubles in our relationship. That's how I know it can be linked to stress and depression. Believe it or not, you could be experiencing severe loneliness which is why everyone is against you or dead in your dreams. Go to some social events or a bar or club or something. Join a league. You have to make some friends!!
