Back from the dead! Need your advise. Best SQ for the buck ?

Infinity 6020CS - Infinity 6.5" Component Speaker System - sound pretty good for under $150.

I believe the Diamond 661's can be had for under $200

I would recommend going to visit a few places that have a decent display to listen to several different models. Take a few of your favorite CD's and choose what sounds the best to you.

A stereo shop is a completely different environment than your car.

Your best bet is to shop with someone who has a really good return policy, if you think you'll not like what you buy.

Or just buy used.... resale what you don't like.

What I figure about shops is : the walls, using different amps and source units not being adjusted for the specific setup, to me its almost pointless because its not an in car demo. ehh what do I know.

I was thinking of a AA 8" or SS rl-i 8". With their large mounting dept I would have to fire them back to the wall. With the RE's I can fire them down. and the box would be simple.

True.. but it will at least give you an idea. Better than a total blind purchase. It is a way to keep from buying something, install and decide you dont like them. Just like using the forum to ask for suggestions. It will give you an idea of some selections in your price range.

Not very many places close to me that would carry the higher end stuff made for SQ. Most are alpine and jl pushers.
