Yes the amp does work! My subs pound and all but i thought the gain was suppose to give more power. When I turn my gain to max it doesnt do anything???

Right now my gain is set all the way down to min.

The gain adjusts voltage to the amp. You need to adjust it with the gain setting tutorial that is on this site. It may not be noticeably louder, but you're probably going to damage your sub/subs if you crank the gain like that. Have fun.

have u actually tested to see what the output is with a dmm? or are u doing it based off of sound? if the latter, you really should test it with a dmm to see what it's reading.

Do you have a level knob that runs to the front of the vehicle. If so this one could be cancelling out the other one...but anyways they still do the same thing

thats what my guess was, or the gain on the amp is broken, or you have really high pre-outs on your hu.

That was one of my guesses too cause my loudness on my hu also controls how my subs sound.

And I do have a remote knob running to the front.

Ok i disconnected my remote knob in the front and the gain in the amp worked.

The remote knob did cancel it out. Whew, i thought it might of had a deffect.

loudness on the hu should effect everything. front speakers, rear, and sub.

edit, looks like you fixed it, or at least figured out what was up. time to set them properly with a dmm, or at a worst set your gain to what the preout on you hu is.(ex, you have a 4volt preout on your hu, set you gain to where you see 4v on the amp, or approximate.)
