B> High Quality 6.5 speakers w/ tweeters

I need 2 sets of very nice SQ 6.5 component speakers to put in my car. They will be ran off a sundown SAX 100.4. So I'm guessing that I'll want speakers/tweeters that are around 100rms a piece..I need crossovers with the sets since I plan on only running them off one amp. My budget is a little low...let's say around $400.

Do you have any 3" vc mids geoff?

Good point out man, I may just do that.. Since I have a 3Sixty2 rf processor.

yep. i always try to utilize what i have so if you can save a cool hundo on x-overs u can apply towards something else. besides active is the way to go to get the most from your setup.

Dynaudio uses very large voice coils on their mids. It's a different design, not really a spec worth focusing on at this price level.

Yeah, no big voice coils here. Morel and DLS do this with some of their models as well.

These may be considered for you?My nephew has a set of these running off of an old school Autotek Mean Machine 66hc in a Scion, and they sound fantastic..just a suggestion.Keep in mind a good sq amplifier makes the difference as well, as preping the doors/location as well

100W RMS is on the high side for 6.5" components in your price range. What exactly are you looking for? Are you building an SPL system?

Cdt es-06's for some 6.5's. For dedicated midbass do the es-06+, or the hd6m.

I have a nice set of alpine spx17pro type x components. They sound great and I just un installed them yesterday. I have switched to a 3 way front stage. I would take 270 shipped for them. I have the original box and the extra crossover plugs. Let me know if you have any questions. I think that I miss them all ready and I need to sell them soon so I won't want to switch back to them. I'm not in love with my new ones yet, but I still need to tune some more yet.

I'm building a sq system...I've never done speakers and amps...only subs and amps...thus why I have a guy helping me out over here.
