Who would you trust to design a bridge? The immigrant construction worker or the structural engineer? The engineer doesn't own the building, he won't build it, and he will probably never work in it...but he sure as hell knows a lot more about the parameters that contribute to its performance and what goes into a good design than the immigrant construction worker whose skills are meager at best.

I designed my own box (with my friends final ok on the design)... Ive designed a hundred or so for my/others people setups and built dozens of them...

that is also no where near all the boxes I have built and designed... looks to be only a 5 month span with tons of box's still missing in those 5 months...

Your really just making yourself look like a douche, here's how it went down.

You came in here with distortion plots you barely understood trying to show that the SVS sub was better than the B&W.

Thadman came in to point out that both of the subs are worthless and more or less, the B&W was the better of the 2 crappy drivers.

To prove his point, thadman showed the sub he's using, much cheaper than any of the others.

Your subs ended up in a direct comparison, you got butthurt, thinking your tc's sounds sub was the shit vs a Things get sorta technical, you can't follow it so you try to pretend like you know what your talking about non-car audio brand like dayton.

Thadman points out most car audio is basically a joke in the grand scheme of audio reproduction, and your technical skills are lacking.

You show some boxes you built, since you obviously can't compete with him on actual audio knowledge as attempt to discredit him.

Frankly, I've got a friend who can build lots of boxes. He's a big fan of AB, pyle, and jensen and thinks max power on amps is all that matters. Until he heard my setup he was pretty sure is alpine coaxes off a sony amp would be way louder than my no name 3 way frontstage. (phl,peerless,B&C,haha) He's got lots hands on experience, he can install basic equipment quickly. However, compared to me in the grand scheme of all things audio, he's a ****ing douche in comparison. I've got alot less hands on experience, but anyone who considers him the audio guy to listen to would be remiss. It's no different here buddy, sorry.

PS. Meade's HT is a ****ing joke, just had to say it....

Yes about a 50-80 spl setups... placed 7th at world finals in street c, with subs we just got the night before finals so we had no time to test boxes..

So pretty much you are saying your theorizing alone can build something a better box then someone who has both hands on experience and knowledge of how everything works?

So your friend likes pyle right? I have never ran pyle as you see I run whats the best thing available at the time... pyle is nowhere the best...but heh if you think pyle is as good as DD or memphis...

If I had a camera I'd show you. I've done the kicks in my car and am working on a subbox right now. Other than that not alot of speak of, one of my friends wants me to fg a center console,but I havent' decided if I will have the time to help him.

experience and technical knowledge are both required for success. That's why we have both carpenters and engineers. However, the point of the discussion that you were on was technical, and compared to thadman, you don't know much of anything when it comes to audio, especially as it pertains to SQ, which is 99% of home audio. You can't argue klippel measurements by saying the person who took them can't build a box, lol.
