how did it weigh less.... the magNET looks bigger, and the sub is much bigger.

im not sure how it weighs less but if i had to guess the magnet on the avas are more dense and they are much wider, where the mad are not as wide the size of sub doesnt have much to do with weight. All of the weight is n the motor the basket and soft parts probally weigh about a pound

The top-plate is much heavier on the AVA, that is why it is heavier.

ohh just thought i would throw this in there but personally i liked the avalanches better. They had a smoother sound. And seemed to hit lower. the mag did have the advantage on rock and higher notes though.
