AudioQue 2200D Vs JBL BPX1100.1 Ok so I have researched both amps and they both seems to be great amps and get great reviews. I need 1000 watts at 3 Ohms. Both of the amps meet this requirement. The Crown amp cost about $$100 more then the AudioQue. What exactly would I gain by spending more for the Crown amp? Thanks... I will be powering a JBL W12GTI MKll

more of a preference than anything else imo. Both are solid amps.

One day when you want to upgrade you'll have the extra power w/o needing 2 buy another amp.

although AQ is a good amp

Bpx is much better especially in your use of it

I like the crown amps... the aq does offer more power though. The jbl offers much more features, so thats why you get the price jump. Unless you plan on getting more subs later on, then its pointless getting the aq, as you will only use roughly half of its potential.

Thanks for the replies! I could definately see myself getting another W12gti in the future which would then bring me to 1.5 ohms. So maybe the AQ would be the way to go incase i decide to get another sub down the road.

Unless you are a competitor and reaching for that last tenth of a db and need the extra power, there is no contest.

Im leaning towards the JBL, but they are hard to find in both new and used condition. I found a BPX2200.1 but that would kill my car and sub.

id say, save some money get the Aq. EVERYONE upgreads at some time. More Power

Definately thinking about it....if I decide to upgrade two 2 subs in the future I wouldnt need to get another amp.
