audioque 1200 or 2200?

Speakers will be two solobaric classic 15's 4 ohm..... will the 1200 be enough or will the 2200 fry them? One other option is for recomendations for an amp in this same price range that might be better suited. Any response would be greatly appreciated. Just getting back in to this hobby.

what's the RMS for them? You can always turn down the gains so they don't see too much power. Personally I would spend the extra $$ and get a 2200, it gives you some headroom and leaves you with more power in the case that you upgrade

RMS is 750 and peak is 1500, the few reviews I have found on the classics show them handling extra power with ease.... not sure, like I said just getting back into this game... thanks for the quick reply also.

I think you would be fine with which ever one your budget allows. Also the 2200 would need some electrical upgrades to keep up with the demand of the amp, the 1200 won't need as much current.

As far as electrical upgrades... should the big three be enough? This is going to be in a 02 silverado with the bigger alternator, truck also has a optima red top voltage at idle is about 14.7-15.0. Also was wondering, is there much of a differance between the mbquart onyx and their q series? Saw the Q1.1500 on sale for 279.00.... thanks for all the help too.
