I've never used MBQuart monoblocks so I cannot speak from experience but I hardly doubt the difference is worth of the $30-40 extra. Even if it's this kid is deffinatly over-exaggerating. Anyone who thinks he cranked out a Onyx like that on stock electrical and didnt see below 13v is dumb lol.

I ran a Cadence Z1200 class A/B monoblock in my Grand Prix with 0 electrical upgrades. The amp benches at 1400+@1 ohm. Cranked on it daily with no issues what so ever with lights dimming or seeing below 13v. That was without a big 3 upgrade. Im sure Gucci doesnt have stock electrical either.

I'd run anything before I ran an AP1500d - got one and let a buddy use it and he is not happy, lol.

I'd pay $200+ for an old school Orion 1200d or SoundStream gear of lesser power ratings than that AP, just personal preference.

So to someone that $30 could be the extra money for wiring or a box IMO it makes a difference. i was there it was my ap i set the gains on the onyx matched. if you need video ill get them. but it is 100% true

and my electrical 91ah batt in the rear and redtop upfront with 2/0 to the rear and amp with knu ofc big 3... look at my build. i can hold 13v easy with the onyx maxed out the ap drops me into the 12s with it being dmm set

You also never said it wasn't "jackass" lets call people names. So what crappy electrical do you have that an AP1500.1D can drop it to 12.2v but on onyx maxed out won't? Regaurdless if it's stock or not makes zero sense.

Again with the name calling what are we 2? lol So you ran a Cadance which is by a far better amplifier on stock electrical and cranked it daily with no issues? This kid said he cranked his amplifier bull bore and didn't drop below 13v and ran the AP1500.1D off correct tuning and hit 12.2v? That's funny my AP never went below 13v on stock electrical when I used a DMM to tune it to 1500rms @ 1 ohm with rise. I guess I'm just a noob huh?

I also ran that SAME AP1500.1D after almost a year of running it off .5 ohms to an AQHDC18" and did the full 1500watts and never protected or dropped anywhere below 12v off stock electrical.

My AP didn't run that inefficient though... It seems like you guys think i'm defending AP I ran them theres a reason I got rid of mine but some of these statements are pretty bold after my experience with them.

Yeah I did and was agreed it was both of our faults but I was the bigger man and admitted that it could have potentially been my fault. Doesn't label me a noob by any means I still wouldn't buy their product but in all fairness dave is a good guy.

I was also hard up on money at the time and I was being a total douchebag because the subwoofer didnt last more than 3 months and I ran it the same way I've ran all my equipment and somehow that **** breaks and everyone says it's my fault until they hear my side of the story. Hell my Kicker COMPS didn't even blow when I ran them off an MRP-1000 cranked completely out for 3 years until I dropped one, this was when I was a noob of course.

bro its not like im a new guy just trying to say something i never tested. me and gucci hooked all my new stuff up and tested both amps.. the ap suced like a 2$ hooker
