Audiopipe = $h!t

i'm not saying it doesn't sound good ' date=' i'm saying if you take a 3000 watt sundown or DD amp or some other higher end model that has less THD and a 3000 watt audiopipe , put them on the same speakers , and push them till they bench out at 3kw. The speakers running on the audiopipe will probably blow or last half as long as the same set on the other cleaner amps. Distortion is not a speakers friend , no matter how you slice it , LESS THD IS ALWAYS BETTER. whether you can hear it or not its still there and its still bad.[/quote']
A driver doesn't care if the signal is distorted or not, power is power. 3000 watts of actual power at 20% THD will not cause any more thermal stress on a coil then 3000 watts of actual power at .001% THD.

ur not going to hear a diff from thd trust me. where you hear the diff is dampening and this is where class d amps slip up compared to class a/b. dampening controls ur woofer. i still pefer a big high current class a/b over a class d but who wants to haul batterys...
:facepalm:

Yup. Way under rated amp. Out of the 20+ amps I've bought and sold that is one that I regret selling.
the 2000x is similar to my sexy pair.....

Until you show me a true rms volt meter and clamp meter on a scope with an adequate power supply I doubt it's going to do rated power..

Most meters take an average which isn't a true rms which is normally a good deal higher than a true RMS power output..

What I suggest it using an adequate power supply and playing the amp 2seconds before testing it and repeating the test at least 2times..

Withy RD 1750s at 1.2 ohm with 13.2 I can get 2200 with ease but when I retest them it's normally around 1600..
