I've had a 1800 and 2 different 1500ds. they all did rated, all moved my sub. All were efficient, didn't blow my small fuses for meca.

Did they sound as good as some of the other brands I've had of similar size (kicker, rockford power series, etc)? no. But they got the job done.

I'm not a brand *****, i'll run whatever as long as its reliable. Those amps didn't give me any problems. Then again, no amps have really given me any problems because I KNOW HOW TO SET GAINS

well my kenwood does 500@ 1 and has 40 worth of fuses . u cant allways go by 100xthe fuse's

what kenwood model , cuz my uncle has a excelon with the chinese symbol on the cover. its rated at 70x4 or 200x2 , my sony is rated 55x4 or 120x2 and it SMASHES the kenwood all day in every aspect , except current consumption. And the comparison was done in the same vehicle , same speakers , same load. It had his 8 gauge wire hot to the touch. LOL Either my sonys are WAY underrated or the kenwoods are way overrated these days.

yes and an anl fuseholder that couldn't fit my kicker hyperflex 1/0 :facepalm:.

so there amps dont put out rated power. 160 for 1500rms is a bad deal, 1800 for 180s bad deal 3000at 2 ohms bad deal. subs **** have i followed along ?

never heard one , so i can't say for sure that it doesn't do rated , but i owned one just like that (cosmetically) that was rated at 60x2 and it couldn't hold a candle to my mtx that was 37.5x2 or my PPI that was 50x2 or even my old pioneer that was 35x2. It was an abomination and i quickly put it on craigslist. but i had a old solid black kenwood 35x4 channel from the early 90's and it was amazing.

they are good reliable amps for someone on a budget. my buddy pounded with his 1500 and pounded even more with his 1800. i would buy them if i was on a budget and didnt want to save cash for something better. EXCELLENT AMP FOR BOOMERS ON A BUDGET. Just not exactly something i would brag about owning. LOL
