Audiopipe = $h!t

i'm not saying it doesn't sound good , i'm saying if you take a 3000 watt sundown or DD amp or some other higher end model that has less THD and a 3000 watt audiopipe , put them on the same speakers , and push them till they bench out at 3kw. The speakers running on the audiopipe will probably blow or last half as long as the same set on the other cleaner amps. Distortion is not a speakers friend , no matter how you slice it , LESS THD IS ALWAYS BETTER. whether you can hear it or not its still there and its still bad.

well i only go full tilt maybe 2 mins at a time other wise the bass is low as it goes. hell sometimes i even turn the amp off so would mine last 1/2 as long with 1/3 of the playtime as these sundowns?

ur not going to hear a diff from thd trust me. where you hear the diff is dampening and this is where class d amps slip up compared to class a/b. dampening controls ur woofer.

i still pefer a big high current class a/b over a class d but who wants to haul batterys...

And as anyone on this forum should know companies can skew THD and dampening very easily to make it look better than it actually is.

F you guys I have an AP30001D and it's about as awesome as $320 can get. I had a USA-2000X, Recoil 1000.1, Viper 2500.1 and the Brutus 1606D to compare so I know what's good and not. Haven't had any issues with it either.

That graph says 1700-some watts @7 ohm, did you expect anything more at that high of an impedance? Measure the sh@t at 2 ohms mono, not everyone's impedance rise goes that high.

you have yet to own a good amp... So how are you supposed to "know what's good and not."?

US Amps USA-2000x inside - Amp Guts
doesnt look like a 2k amp to me...
Here you go since you cant do your own research:

The Untamed - Features - Car Audio and Electronics

The USA2000X also is the only 4-ohm stable amplifier of the group. However, this did nothing to deter the beast from producing impressive numbers. Our in-lab results showed it to be quite powerful, making 1685 watts with 12.5 volts, and a more impressive 2100 watts with the juice increased to 14.4. This placed it third in both categories. But placing the USA2000X on a reactive load drastically changed things. Here it took top honors with a very impressive 3010 watts. This is largely due to the 4-ohm impedance design (as opposed to the 2-ohms in the other amplifiers in this test). Therefore, the USA2000X should make more power at the test frequency of 50Hz where the impedance of the speaker rose to 5.3 ohms. In many ways it is fair to say that US Amps had an unfair advantage in our test since the output would likely be higher at this impedance.
I guess its way under rated.
