Got a better pic anywhere? I seriously doubt they changed the drive board.... maybe the power supply drive board... but that part is not a problem, it's the output drive board, but really the 2 IC version of it works great, it's the 4 IC version that breaks down a lot.... Looks the same to me but with bars/screws instead of those clips and the 45 degree or so mounting is much better than the 90 degree. If they add some standoffs in the center of the board it would help alot too... they may have done that can't tell. But anyway, the copper differences and mil-spec board will make it stiffer, but the copper was okay on the previous model, nothing wrong with going with a better quality board, even if the previous wasn't a problem, it likely stiffer and that will help. The GP3000D Pro and the SAZ-3000D are pretty close to identical. I think the transformers are a little different but that may not make that much difference in performance. The new SAZ-3500D is a beast, I have one here, though it has some problems I was able to get enough out of it to really hammer on my test sub, I was like "wow".... The SAZ-4500D should be a beast as well, I haven't been able to test it but it should come out great.
It's always good when companies BETTER their products.... The thing I hate the most is when companies get out there to start with a good product and then once they establish a good name in the business they go all cheap on their products and try to pass them off as just as good or worse yet "better" then the older ones..... Good to see Maxxsonics is heading in the right direction, making stuff better... Seems like they have been for the last several years for sure, just not many people know what they are looking at, but I seen it all from the old ones to the new ones, steady progression to better products.
