I also understand you are a dealer, but come on man you know they cant hold a candle vs the gp amp especially the new model that is getting ready to ship. it is based on the xxv sampson which benches at 9kw and is rated at 8 so .............

I don't think they changed the board of the GP3000D Pro any, just made the mosfets fold over and bolt down to the heatsink (like I recommended to Maxxsonics last year...).

Got pics?

the GP3000D pro is a great amp. The spring clips / 90 degree FET mounting is it's only downfall.

same board. the AP is just cheaper is all. but we all saw what happened to massive lol

The Massive P3000.1's could be had for under $400 if you knew where to look.

And yes, LOL at the Massive stuff.

As far as the AudioPipe guy saying that he has had them installed for 3 years without probs, which models are those? The "Forum Boner" model just like the ones everyone is buying from caraudiodeals.com or are you talking about some older model AudioPipe stuff?

The P3000.1 and 1500.1 (Massive Audio) Audiopipe amps are built like isht. I say no way in a normal everyday use vehicle they will last that long. Would have to be lucky. The Massive amps like those Audiopipes that I have worked on all had broken loose parts, cracked PCB's etc. Was horrible build quality.

Ive ran the 3000 and the 3500AQX Audiopipes. Id take the AQXs ove the 3000s but in your case it sounds like the 2-3000s would be best. Had a pair on two 2415 Hifonics, Did decent numbers, Ran @ 4ohm daily and 1ohm for Comps And after box rise was very impressed vs. The 2608brutus

the 2608 brutus at best would only do 2600 rms tho, the 3000 ap amp is supposed to do 3kw personally i think the 08 models did well for the cost the new 10 series is even better they did a buttload of upgrades to them.

i sell alot more than audiopipe like soundstream,db drive,us amps,cv. all the amps are daily driven. i have a friend that is running a 15001 @ .5ohm for 2yrs even no problem.

the 3000pro no doubt is a strong amp and ALOT of people compete with it no doubt there.

db-r you have been recomened to me thru several people and i will probley send in my db drive platiunm 2000.1's to you to fix because of ur reputation.

just didnt know why this turned into a bashing thread on ap. i'm just telling my experiences with these amps. if there was another amp inquestion i install i would respond on it.

did you see the changes?
I see the mounting has changed. Not sure of any other changes. What kind have they described they did? Link perhaps where they talk about it?

I am only bashing the Audiopipe amps because of their build quality, it is shitty, believe me... If you have someone who ran the massive clones for 2 years now he is lucky. The design in the amps is proven, it's not a bad design, but the build quality is yuck.

I should be able to handle most of the dBdrive amps without problems.

I just ordered my 2 ap3001d's yesterday, after doing alot of research. I dont have much money (hardly any at all) and just hope these can drive the 4 18" AQ HDC3 I will have coming shortly decently. Obviously if I had a higher budget I would have bought usamps/sundown/etc...... but I dont. I took a chance with these and I guess i'll find out how well of an amp there are for "my" needs. Hell, I paid 269 each (I bought 2) so I dont think im out to much if I dont like them, but im pretty sure I will, after reading countless posts all over the internet about this amp.

it has to be shitty for the price you pay. there is a reason you can't get 3k watts from any other amp for this cheap, because they aren't cheaply made.

where did you buy from?

A few key changes from the GP3000D-Pro are as follows:

-angled mounted mosfets which hold up better through severe vibration over the previous 90 degree mounting method.

-thicker PCB

-thicker copper traces

-newest driver card

-improved heatsink design
