i asked because I bought some of their subs (didn't even know they made subs) and am thinking of matching them with an amp of the same time period.

holy old subwoofer. Audio Art was way before the internetz as we know it. Come to think of it though, the only real US maker of stamped subs back then was creedence so its probably some variation of their line from back then.

i visited credence's website and found a sub very similar to the audio art sub I have! THey don't have a catalog of sorts, but I got info on how to use my new toys at least //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

I remember the Audio Art subs from 90-91. They had mids, tweeters, ect. Full line. Amps, eq, crossovers, ect... But Audio art wasn't real popular here in Dallas. Do remember them though. Nobody bought them. Priced too high back then. The RF subs and the Petras subs best in this area. Still do have some amps, eq's, and crossovers of theirs. Good stuff. Especially the crossovers and amps. Then they were sold to an overseas company. Stopped making Audio Art in the USA in 93 or so...

Not selling them off. Sorry. But I appreciate the offer. The EQ's are rated fair, crossovers and amps are the good stuff. Especially the crossovers. They have the 18dB boost adj freq. Kind of like a crossover and a bass eq all in one. My son is running a setup of 2 AA amps and an AA crossover in his car right now. He likes em...

the surrounds are fine. and I think the cones are supposed to be brown.
supposed to be black. those things have seen a bunch of sunlight.

had some of them back in high school.

i may have some paperwork around here somewhere still. i believe they were 150-175rms. i ran mine on a soundstream angina. ive got some 6.5's sitting here on my desk from around the same time. they each need around 1ft sealed.

nothing like credence

Petra!

I had quite a few NIB Petra Hyperthrow's, sold them all local. Wish I could find those phots!

I still have some OS Patriot SI subs from 92-95.

Good find on the Audio Art though!

audioart amps were the first " real proper" amps i got.

i'm storing them up for a future SQ/ ground pounder setup ( coming soon)
