My guess is that they did not fully explain that it was HIS execution that he would be attending.

I don't know that they "steal" the money. They just buy off all elected officials who in turn give them the keys to the vault. It's called "Free Speech." I suupose you do not like the First Amendment. Oh well.

Halliburton has also been accused of billing the Army for 42,000 daily meals for soldiers, though it was only actually serving 14,000. In another operation, KBR purchased fleets of Mercedes trucks at $85,000 each to re-supply U.S. troops. The trucks carried no spare parts or even extra tires for the grueling high-speed run across the Kuwaiti and Iraqi deserts. When the trucks broke down on the highway, they were abandoned and destroyed rather than repaired.

Responding to complaints, Halliburton refused to permit independent auditing and inspected itself using so-called “Tiger Teams.” One such team stayed at the five-star Kuwait Kempinski Hotel while it was doing its audit, running up a bill of more than $1 million that was passed on to U.S. taxpayers.

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire -- Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich yesterday said the country will be forced to reexamine freedom of speech to meet the threat of terrorism.

Gingrich, speaking at a Manchester awards banquet, said a "different set of rules" may be needed to reduce terrorists' ability to use the Internet and free speech to recruit and get out their message.

"We need to get ahead of the curve before we actually lose a city, which I think could happen in the next decade," said Gingrich, a Republican who helped engineer the GOP's takeover of Congress in 1994.

Gingrich spoke to about 400 state and local power brokers last night at the annual Nackey S. Loeb First Amendment award dinner, which fetes people and organizations that stand up for freedom of speech.

Your taking what he was to lightly. If anyone spoke of Iraq, or Saddam in a negative way. They were done, end of story. He also had spies all over (including family members), so its not like you could just say what you wanted to anyone.

Hell if you were caught doing anything they looked at as questionable near one of his pictures they had all over Iraq, you were done.

He was ruthless. Until someone as ruthless comes to power, I doubth the US will be able to leave.

Its basically a civil war there now.
