I don't know why you all need so much port area to be loud.Check my sig.That number is with only 36 square inches of port.Box is tuned at 35hz,burp frequency is 43hz.

umm lets see,your using more then twice the rated amplifier power,double the battery power,and 196.25 square inches more cone area,uh ya you should be louder

I went with a much larger port to enhance my small cone area and only used 5k.

I'm pretty sure that if I used a larger sub(pr. of that is) I would be able to use a smaller port, tune lower, and do bigger no.s. I was only able to get on a meter for tuning twice last yr. I'm buying a meter this winter and will look to find my 50+ before I change boxes, and add more power.

Umm...actually power does quite literally = louder.

It's just not the only variable...

Actually wasnt saying that what so ever. Most of the guys and gals I compete against literally have 2 5ks, 2 7ks etc.. which equals double what i'm running!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

They also have 2 12's, 2 15's or more cone area. Which also comes out to twice the cone area or more than I have.

well heres the finish product this box gets very very loud...and the port is 134square inches...for just 2 re se12's...and it still hit the lows well.....dam im good
