Hmm..

1. This is my FIRST stab @ a car stereo setup

2. I did NOT do the wiring myself

3. The amp is ran through the stock stereo therefor i assumed i wouldnt have the same options of doing a fine tuning that i would be able to do with an aftermarket h/u.

Funny it was soo obvious to you but if you looked back no one else assumed this could be the problem.
