Attn: College Students who life in apartments

My place is about 2 miles from campus, maybe less. With the traffic though it can take me 30 mins to get to my apartment.

Its $500/mo and its furnished, all utilities included, etc. Decent place. 4 Bedroom, 4 Bathroom. Live with 2 of my friends, and we have an empty 4th room.

Pros:

The things you would associate with living on your own.

Cons:

I have to do my own laundry.

My sister goes to VCU, she lives in the fan if your familiar with the area //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif . I was thinkin about attending also, I love the city.
Me and a friend of mine are thinkin about getting one their. Well, that is if any of them are available.

Does she like it there?

I live about 5 minutes from campus in a brand new(well new when we moved in 1.5 years ago) 2/2 apt. I pay 822 per month for the apt(I pay for my fiancee's portion since she's still in school), plus 1/2 of all utilities, cable, and internet(have verizon fios). All in all it ends up being around $950 per month.
Whew, but I'm thinkin that mine will be more than that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I live here: http://www.universityvillageauburn.com/
$430 a month with a $75 electricity allowance. Everything else is covered. Its usually about 450 a month.
Oh must be nice.

I hate laundry as well.

I'll be moving into my own house this December. It is 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, one level. Nice little house. Rent will be free because my parents/grandparents own the house //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif . It is about 30-45 minutes out from campus.

BTW, I saw you asking about VCU. My sister goes there and loved it. She pays $650 a month in rent (split it between two people though). Two bedrooms, two baths, laundry room, living room, nice kitchen. Nice school as well if you don't mind the city.

I rent the 2nd floor of a large house with 2 other girls. Dedicated private entrance, garage, 2 balconies, hardwood floor, washer/dryer, etc... It's 900/month + utilities total...

I live about a solid 10minutes from school. I like it because it's in between the school and work, safe neighborhood, better living conditions, and cheaper than comparable place around campus. Literally anything I need is minutes away, and it's close to any area of Greater Cincinnati really...

Well she has her own house across the river, not exactly in the fan. Its nice but there are some extremly ghetto area's also, you learn where they are and to stay away. When I visited one time I was following mapquest and it took me straight through the hood and a group of people were in the middle of the street blocking the road... i got more than a little scared lol. I've been carjacked before... But then again there are extremly rich areas too, its all about how much money you have.

I can deal with the city. And thats not to bad of a price at all. Most of the ones that ive been seeing are around 900 a month.

I may actually end up in the county about 10 mins from vcu. We'll see though, hopefully we can be within 5miles.

My apartment at school was a 4 bedroom, 2 bath with a good size kitchen and living room. It was $1000/month+utilities. With only 3 of us living there it averaged out to about $400/month per person.

Real close to campus. Driving only took me 3-4 minutes to the complete opposite side of campus. Walking was 15ish minutes. Apartment complex was ALL students even though it wasn't affiliated with the school. Made for good partying. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The only problems I had was keeping the place tidy. Though you can control that if you live by yourself or if you have some good roommates. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Like I cared? I only lived there for a year. It was relatively cheap and the closest apartments to campus.

But if I could do it all over again, I probably would have gotten a house instead.
