So the T/A is killing me on gas right now. I had been tossing around the idea of buying a new car, it would be missed, but it may be in my best interest. There are two models Ive been looking at, either the 323CI or the 330CI. Is the only difference in the two the motors? And, would it be worth buying the 330 over the 323 because there is a slight price difference obviously.

i think styling wise, there are some differences if im correct. less plastic on the outside, different rims, there are probably things like that.

BMWs don't really get that great of gas mileage although their numbers are pretty much par for upscale sedans. A big improvement on cars upgrading from a T/A... I'd say BS that the gas mileage is killing you though if you are looking at a BMW.

What are you looking for in this car besides maybe 5 more mpg?

also the first number is series, the second 2 is the size of engine, 2.5 liter, 3 liter, 3.3 litre, ect... ect...

I'd say BS that the gas mileage is killing you though if you are looking at a BMW.

Word. Premium gas must go in the tank of a BMW so to offset the cost of your TA isnt worth it. Drive sensibly and you may see your gas mileage improve significantly.

at this point in time my T/A does not get anywhere near that MPG and it must be ran with premium. Hopefully after somebody who knows what they are doing tunes the car, I may get to see numbers like that... It was just a thought running through anyways. I couldnt give up my 500 horsepower for anything like that. The search will continue. Might just end up buying a silverado ss, because living in michigan, it would be nice to have one vehicle all year long. thanks all for your input.

i was saying that in response to a statement I mis read. I know they take premium, both cars. The car I want to buy would be equal value to my T/A, not more, not less.

I gotta say it, 323's are gay. debadged, and if a chick is driving it, its OK. but not only is the engine much smaller, theres little get up and go, handling is not what I consider bmw quality, and the trim/wheels blow. at least a 325. But, I understand you are looking at gas milege so a 323 is a good choice for that. I guess you could change the bumper/wheels/coilovers and it'll be a nice get-around-town car

328 offers a lot more power than 323. 323 is a poor excuse of a bimmer.
