Sold Atomic 872 sub motor...APXX..... 3 inch coil

Well due to the fact that there seems to be some REAL intrest in this sub motor, I posted 2 pics and had my PM box flooded with people wanting to buy or trade for this sub.

This is a top plate number 872 Atomic, this is one of the many motors that is used to build the Atomic APXX(the BIG DOG). The sub is made for a 3 inch coil. It is currently wearing a 12 inch basket, it would be removed for shipping as it may break if still bolted on due to motor weight. I am told this USED to be a 15 that came with Quad .7 coils.

THIS IS MOTOR AND BASKET ONLY.......you WILL need to build or buy a recone kit. I HAVE spoken with Atomic and the recone kits are readly avabile for 12,15 or 18 in DVC or QVC with a few choices on the ohm load.

I took this in on trade and have no use for this motor right now, but it isn't like I have to get ride of this. I am sure I will find a use sooner or later but since it looks that people are wanting it's up for grabs.

Shipping will be $50-$100 depending on where you live. I checked shipping to Florida and it was around $62. Final shipping cost will be at BUYERS responciblty.

This motor weights around 70-80#'s.

I will start the price at $300 + shipping. If you don't like price COUNTER OFFER, I know what I have into this and what the motor is worth. Lets start here and see who REALY wants it. MAYBE...and I mean MAYBE trades would be considered.

For REFERNCE ONLY...this is the cone that was removed. This was NOT a Atomic recone in it. It was soft parts built to fit . The Atomic recone is MUCH better then what some one had put in it or it would still be playing.

To buy a sub like this NEW would cost you better than $500.

Recone kits and a basket(with shipping) can be had for less than $150

ANY ONE that has bough a SPL oriented sub should know that even NEW SPL subs don't have a warranty to speak of...so even at $300 you can still build for less than a new 1.

Depending on where you live I MIGHT be able to sell SHIPPED for $300.

I could see maybe spending $250 if it was a nice looking motor,,,,But this think is pretty ugly and has chunks taken out of the Slugs...
