ATN: People that go to the gym...

Don't take this as me trying to brag but... I've been competively powerlifting since I was in 6th through school and for many organizations throughout my state and nationwide. I've started Bodybuilding in 10th Grade. I have a few state records and have competed in PL and BB nation wide. I have 3 personal training certs, personal trained at 3 gyms and ran a world known Powerlifting/Bodybuilding gym. I've trained with many elite Bodybuilding and world class powerlifters all my life. Again, I'm not trying to show off or make it sound like I'm a know it all, but if you have any questions about this topic, I am very knowledable and heavily experieced in the area. I will help as much as possible, as many of you have greatly helped me in Car Audio. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Ok read my previous post and give me a good weekly workout lol

there are so many workouts that can be given out. best to talk to a trainer
Yea I have weight training at school and its the football coach and his only concerns are getting his players huge and he gives shitty workouts, My brother in law is real big and knows all about it but with 2 kids he just doesnt have time to help me anymore.

I used to be buff my junior year (last year) our coach turned us into beasts..

I was 6'0 260lbs and benched 315 and squatted 475 true parrallel.. It was pretty good.. My best friend benched 415lbs as a junior in high school.. he was about 6'1

270lbs..that was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen

my younger brother was a monster too.. he is 6'3 235 at 16 yrs old with a 320lb bench and 275 clean.. we never did alot of different lifts just competition lifts

His workout or probely more explosive and strength orianted as opposed to workouts for mass. Thats why you and probely most other guys think they are shitty.

maybe someone can answer this.

after weight lifting, i decided to play some basketball right after and took i'd say atleast 100 jumpers, and now my upper thighs are sore. is this from taking all those jumpers after weight lifting, and is there something i can do to alleviate the soreness next time?

Jump on the treadmill and do some light jogging afterwards. I've found that my legs aren't as bad after I work them out when I do my HIIT after my leg days as opposed to doing legs and not doing HIIT afterwards.

I want to go work out but I am more interested in exercises that help flexibility. I am skinny as a rail but anb't touch my toes. What exercise you reccomend for that?

Your hamstrings (back of your legs) are tight. Sitting at a desk all day will do that as will aging. You need to STRETCH to become more flexible, not lift weights.

Search online for some good stretches, and NOT bouncing stretches, static holds. Using a weight to help you stretch farther than you normally can will only injure you.

well i did some running chasing down all the 3's i missed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

i used to be a very good 3 point shooter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

99% of commercial gyms are full of douchebags. Luckily I only have to use them when on business trips 2-3 times per year.

Otherwise I have a VERY nice home gym set up. NO waiting for equipment, whatever music I want to crank, and no travel time to the gym. FTMFW

Doing anything out of the norm will make you sore. Soreness is going to take place and there's little to nothing you can do about. It's simply lactic acid buildup. Nothing wrong with being sore either, except for the slight pain.

I love being sore.

Makes me feel like I've accomplished something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
