Im in the process of upgrading my whole system but Right now I have 2 rf p3s in a sealed sub box with approx .65 per chamber the subs are wired in parrel they are being powered by a rf 800.2 amp.. and it doesnt sound quite as good as i would like, so i have been thinking about having a custom ported/slotted box made or get new subs and keep the same box!! what do you guys think? will sound better

these are the subs i have been looking at

2 10" diamond audio d6s

2 10" infinty perfects

2 10" alpine type r 1500 watts

2 10" MA Audio subs

which ever ones sound the best for the money and be able to be pushed by my current amp

0r maybe 1 12" sub but has to be atleast comparable to 2 10s!

thanks for your help

I personally say the Diamond's

Good SQ and they have good output

Do the two 10's in a nice little ported enclosure on your amp, you'll be happy

Get two DVC 4ohm subs, run a sub on each channel, 400wrms to each //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Diamond audio gets my vote

Followed by the Alpines

Then Infinity

And finally MA audio.

What kind of amp do you have and whats the budget?.

im trying to stay away from getting new subs and a new box. the box i have right now with the p3s is a sealed box with .65 ft per chamber but if i absolutly have to then i will. Are diamonds good subs? are they reliable?

budget is around 300 hundred

amp is a rf 800.2 i have it bridged too

I have never heard diamonds! Do they get pretty low?i have heard the type r and they hit lower then my subs did but he was using a mono block amp as well

i'd say get the D6's and either build a bigger sealed box....or have someone hear on the forums build you a ported box (or you can do it and have someone supply the plans)

here Is what Im going to do im getting a new ported box regardless

and for subs here is what I have found

10'' type r for 98.00 + shipping

10 diamond audio d6 149.00 + shipping

10 inch infinty perfect 99.00 + shipping

The type R are lot cheaper then the Diamonds but if its worth it then I dont care!

Im still looking for anybody who has had experience with these subs

I have heard alot of good things about both what are the cons which one would aound better in a sealed box?

I would rather go with something that is not main stream if posible has anyone had both the new type rs and the d6s

His amp is the RF 800.2
Perfect for the little D6's, or pretty **** close anyways

RMS Recommended onthe D6 is 400, IIRC

i think the rms is 500 hundred, anyways the d6's are great subs, out of those listed, i think they are the best with a good blend of sq and output
