Assuming both the MTX and Kickers are paired with the proper amp to feed them their max power...
The MTX's handle more power (400W RMS)... but they are smaller, older, and less efficient.
The Kickers handle less power (300W RMS)... but they are larger, newer design, and more efficient.
My guess is they will likely preform close to the same.
Your decision is...
1. Put some money into the Big 3 upgrade and an amp for the older subs. This is the cheaper option, but your choices are limited.
(A word of caution on older subs...my subs from 2003 that were not used until 2011 till now suffered dry rot and tore the surround on one, but I have a sealed box.)
2. Sell the older subs and amp and put the money towards the Big 3 and the Kicker sub box and an amp. (or any other set of subs and amp you want) This will be the more expensive option.
3. Keep the box, buy your choice of 10"subs, and your choice of compatible amp, and of course... upgrade the big 3. This choice may be cheaper than the pre-made Kicker set, but could also be more expensive depending on what you choose.
4. Keep what you have and get it set properly with a scope or voltmeter... and of course... upgrade the big 3. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif After all there is nothing wrong with your set-up except the dimming.
