I build all my shit by myself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif ripping 4x8 sheets of mdf sucks
As did I. Finding creative ways to lift 900 pound back walls and 300 pound baffles into a van was the most fun I've ever had alone. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Personally I wouldn't have done the subs firing into each other for fear of some cancellation/too much pressure on the cones, but good build regardless.
Hope it's loud. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Ya, I've brought up that concern with many speaker engineers including, Scott(Fi), Nick Morgan, David Moore, Nick W.(IA) and others who have ran/seen similar setups.

They all had said that as long as the woofers are all doing the same thing at the same time(in phase), there will be no cancelation at all. I was also concerned with as much pressure there will be excerted in that area if the cone bodys will sustain the mid 20hz region and I was told the Havocs have a pretty superior cone structure and should stand up to it without having to worry about blowing dustcaps off.

I've gathered mostly my info on this build from Mr. Nick Morgan as he had a similar setup in the Nissan, Chad Hix old truck.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ya, this was no fun at all. I need to start wearin a respirator as well. Hopefuly this is the last time I mess with MDF for a while.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Yeah like I said, I'm sure it'll work out ok, but just as a design aspect I would rather the woofers be firing the air outwards as in a V-shaped enclosure than just into one another, pressurizing the chamber, and then outwards.

sounds logical

yeah this design requires you to wire one side of four in the opposite phase so they can operate properly. they push pull and its easy to overexert. although the lows are rediculous!

True Story... I like doing by myself, but an extra set hands wouldnt hurt now and then

Yeah I just finished a 3.2cu. ft. box and I had mdf powder in my nose and throat for a week I cant fathom what you got going on after this build lol

So how far along are you know?

Box is no longer in my posession. We took it over to my buddys house that does auto body to glass it and paint it. Should be painted by tomorrow night with PPG CHA white and granedere blue with a blue pearl in the clear. Also going to be getting new alts from Mechman.

Being inside that box without a resperator was brutal but I made it.

The resin sure knocks the pups out

ok travis, its been nice out, i wantta see some progress. show me some work.
Dont you worry about me. You just keep licking them pretty chops of yours for that crow you'll be cobbling. I managed to get in some target practice too and this is the weapon that will bring down your savory crow filet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

did you build the box or someone else?
and if you use that on my Crow there wont be no crow left!
I build all my own shit.. Main reason for it taking so long. I'm a perfectionist and even a 1/16" off bugs me.

I guess I could use my little .22 but it wouldn't be as fun as my AR. Possibly a head shot will be adequate and with the size of the crow here I'm sure there will be plenty left //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif
