trying to build an enclosure for subs

Hey guys. I'm new to this site. My question is about crawl through enclosures for single cab trucks. I started my system with 2 simple kicker 10 comps. I then learned how to ohm it out. It wasn't enough so I went with 2 hifonics 10s. They hit really hard, but sounded horrible, and blew from the lack of air space and from rubbing against my seat (they were really aggressive). I'm 6'3 so I cant give up much room by moving my seat up. I figured the only answer would be to build a crawl through enclosure. I want a ridiculous amount of sound. Does anyone have an idea on how to build an enclosure or a link on steps to build one. I'm very tool savvy. Also any suggestions to what brand of subs to put in. I'm trying not to spend more than 3,000 with the tunic cover included. Any help is appreciated guys. Thank you

I assume you're talking about a blow through. Good luck with it. It's not something a newbie should take on alone...

I wasn't really being negative. Just letting you know what you're getting yourself into.

There are some really talented box builders on the forum (SPY comes to mind immediately). Maybe you should research some of the blow through setups in the build section and then start a thread looking for the services of a designer/builder...

Not at all. There are guys that build & ship enclosures. If it's a huge enclosure, shipping will cost you, but some of these guys do phenominal work. You may be able to find a local guy willing to help you do some work, though. There are quite a few guys from NC on here...

it's really easy, cut your cab/bed, add the box and your done. nothing special about building a big box, just takes lots of wood and time. and money if you want BIG sound. I wouldn't be able to tell you what would work good as im not into big sound, but it can be done. The equipment your used to is nothing like the equipment your going to need. 3000 is a good budget start to this on
