Ascendant Audio 6.5 INCH POLY HIGH EXCURSION MIDWOOFER

I sent in a pair of Avalanches before Thanksgiving. They kept telling me one thing, then another, things that let me know they were lying. I finaly filed a complaint with the BBB and called AA and told them to cancel the recones. After they got the letter from the BBB, Chad called me up talking...let's say unprofessional.

Dale talked some trash later, then we "talked it out" and I ended up ordering 4 6.5's. 2 were GREAT and 2 were terrible.

Chad started in again, so I just sent the 6.5's in for a refund.

Now they're trying to charge me a 25% restocking fee and lying their ***** off to the BBB.

Even state on their site, not their fault you can't read...

Return Policy Ascendant Audio has a 30 day satisfaction guarantee from the day of purchase. All unopened/unused products returned within this 30 day period will receive a full refund of the purchase price, but not including shipping. All used products will be subject to a 25 percent re-stocking fee, and may further be subject to a reduction in refund depending on the product's condition due to appearance, wear, and usage. This amount is to be determined solely at the discretion of Ascendant Audio. Products must be returned in original packaging. If products are returned in other packaging, there will be a further reduction in the refund. Shipping costs will NOT be reimbursed for any returned product under any circumstance.

the guys at AA arent the smoothest group of audio dealers I have ever worked with,I got my refund yesterday finally on my comps preorder...They never returned an email,a phone call or offerend any responce from my attempts to communicate. I will not bother with them again...very unprofessional.

 
I have tried to buy from them but haven't been able to get a hold of any product that is in stock. On the flip-side though, they have always gotten back to me, were never rude, and seem to have a great product.

I think something to really remember is that these are getting great press here on the forum and we have many many thousands of members. They are cheaply priced for most people so I'm sure they are overwhelmed with orders. It’s not easy for a small business to take on huge orders all at once and this may be the number one reason why they are having a difficult time getting to everyone.

People usually only react in the way they feel they are being treated. Were you being less than unprofessional when you were talking to them to? It might just be me, but when something is as inexpensive as these are I never go by word-of-mouth. I just try them out. Make up my own decision. OR if there is someone that I really respect on here I will go with what they tell me.

actually I did read it, and if everyone were to not only read every disclaimer for everything we bought but also decided not to purchase products that have such a broad coverage and steep disclaimer, none of us would buy shit. but who expects this "super high build quality" company to send out a bunch of bad speakers, drop the price considerably because they are well aware of the problem, and not mention it on their website or when you call to place the order? Why couldn't they at least say "we found there are a few problems on a good percentage of the 6.5" Poly mids, so we are dropping that awesome price of 59$ per to an astounding $35 a piece, but be aware some have problems. Also, due to this problem, we are discontinuing them. Also, those of you who ordered Arbitors, you will be getting refunds shortly, as well as those of you that ordered HaVocs should this shipping situation not pan out. Thank you!"

I had them for about a week when I shipped them back.
