Are you happy with your set-up???

i havent had that many setups but......yeah ive always wanted more . ive only had 1 12" average sub so i guess its no shocker that i want more lol. im still a rookie

I'm actually happy with my headunit and arc amp. I don't care about 6x9s in the rear, I fade anyways, so I'm content with them. My fronts, the Type-X REFs, meh, good but I'd rather upgrade my substage first. After going to my first competition, termlabed, saw Ron Gooding, substage upgrade coming soon.

Pretty happy with my setup as it stands. Currently running B&C De500 compression drivers mated to full bodies modified horns and BMS 8N515 midranges in the kicks. Sub stage is 2 acoustic elegance AV15's tuned at 25hz via 4 15inch passive radiators, two back firing two side firing, 4.8 cubes of space. Arc 2500 on the mids 2050 on the horns and a sundown 1500d on the subs Everything is crossed over via a h701 and w200 hu. The bigger horns sound more lifelike than the smaller ones I used to have and the stage is alot deeper since the drivers are literally at the firewall. The subs are much nicer than my old AA avalanche in the regard I can cross it much higher. The mids blow away the old xs69's I was using. They get louder on 150 watts than my XS's did on 300 when they were starting to stink lol. Tonally the are a bit more balanced too. The car has a few issues, but it's not equipment related mostly

1.I need to deaden, badly. Lol it's a caddy so it's pretty quiet, but I have midrange resonances that are very annoying. The horns block out those higher harmonics, but just the mids playing sounds like crap and every so often you can still hear it (piano recordings are a no no). Also the roof has no deadening from factory and the sub destoys it.

2.More power to mids. The XS's didn't get as loud overall, but they had a little more dynamics to them on certain things, I think part of that is that I was drastically overpowering them. I need to get a leviathan I think...

3.New processor the h701 is a bit noisy and I really want to try a MS-8 as a center channel would fix a phasing issue I have around 200hz

I used to have 2 18's on a sundown 1500D in like 9 cubes ported in a grand cherokee. Now i've had the same setup for over two years, two ID8's on 600 watts. Its all i can really fit, and has been more than enough. Ive reached the point where I dont care about loud, sounding good at moderate volume is fine now.

I've change up substages all the time. In the last year I've had 2 jbl p1224's , 2 l7 8's , a fi Q 12" , a fi bl 18, a custom tc3hp 12", and a crazy 5k rms custom 15. They all were in my 2 door impreza but I just picked up a 2001 Cherokee off my moms and am going with 2 dc lvl3 18's sealed off around 1500-1800 and a set off the crescendo comps off around 125 a side not sure what deck I'm going for yet though. I haven't ran a sealed box setup in years and miss the buttery sound of it and the range so I'm gonna see how a couple 18's do for me , if it isn't loud enough I'll just build a third row wall for them but I'm sure I'll be happy for a couple months at least lol.
