Are you guys from Kansas offended?

There was a story today in our local fishwrap about a couple from Kansas that went to a Subway shop in Reedsport (a small community on the southern Oregon coast) and were offended by a sign advertising a salmon sandwich ( that is only available in a few select markets like the NW and NE) that said "another reason you're lucky you don't live in Kansas" These two morons, then called their local paper back home to bich about it and start a shitstorm with subway demanding and apology, and supposedly reseraunt owners in Kansas are getting calls from people saying they won't come in now. Over a fucking sign???!!! So my question is are you Kansas guys offended too? Does the general populous of Kansas have no appreciation for humor or sarcasm? Or is this another example of everything that is wrong with this country- a company tried an ad with humor and some doucherocket has to whine bitch and moan to get some attention? Discuss. The story was funny to me at first, and then the more I though about it, the more it pissed me off. Fucking bluehairs!

I shall warn you...I've found it to be inconsistant from one Subway to another...I have found one location that has perfected the sandwich and I'm sticking with them...the Indian owner has taught me his vow to perfection.
