I'm not sure I'm following, would you care to elaborate?
I probably said something that didnt actually happen, but the fact still remained that you deleted a whole thread in skar's section..

Not tolerating bad business practices is one thing, trolling outside the dome is another. I don't think this place is over moderated, I think it was under moderated for too long now people cannot remember what its like to have to follow a very short (in my opinion) list of rules....
1) No ******

2) No N word

3) No trolling outside the dome including tech sections and vendor sections

4) Follow the proper format for classifieds

5) If you have less than 10 iTrader feedback or less than 10 sold to refs you need a picture of the item you are selling with a username and date

6) No dealers without being a supporting vendor.

I believe that pretty much sums it up more or less. At least those are the major rules.
Look at the beginning of this thread.. There was no reason for an infraction.. I would hardly say its trolling to swear at someone
I understand that this is a site that goob pays for, and it is in his authority to not allow certain actions on his website. That said, you are just following the rules, most of the time ( none of us are morally perfect) yet, all of you fail to realize that if you push away all of the members who are experienced then future members will cease to stay because their is no technical help to be had. Your philosophy that we are just single individual members is true, until you start summing up your losses.
Please give me your "objective" definition of trolling.. I think you will see this is subjective between each mod and each scenario that presents itself
Sure....

No need to be a smartass to noobs in the tech section. Most have no idea what they are doing therefore they come here for help.

If someone says they need a cap, don't tell them to kill themself, or call them retarded. They have no idea and most of the time are going by what the sales person at the local shop or the rep from crutchfield are telling them.

If they want to know what amp is best for their Kicker CVR's tell them a decent amp in their budget, don't tellthem how stupid they are for buying Kickers.

If they ask if 2 Kicker 12's will out perform their friends 4 Xplode 12's don't tell them they are both idiots and should off themselves.

Save all that for the dome. Most of us have been here long enough or been in the hobby long enough to know the answers to noob questions but this is probably one of the first places all noobs come for answers. Does it get old answering the same questions over and over...of course but I bet 95% of the members here first found this place because they needed to ask a noob question.

So older members are immune from the rules because they have knowledge? While I like Snoopdan he didn't add much to the community, knowledge wise, for the last couple years that I can remember. Should we just allow him to troll outside over and over and over because he has 30k posts? Should he be allowed to troll 999/1000 posts as long as 1/1000 is beneficial?
Things are getting real around here. Sometimes though out of the dome some comments deserve a rude response.
@OmegaBunny;

Oh wait thats trolling.. We cant warn someone that they are being a dumbass.. Trolling isnt being an asshole for the sake of our ability to be one..

We certainly cant express our emotions towards moderators @pro\-rabbit;) and how they should conduct themselves.. that would be dumb to give another advice so they can receive a better response

I cant dispute what Snoopdan said, or has done in the past. But, that is not my logic. I dont think older members are immune to the rules, the rules arent even being broken.. and in the scenario where the members created a skar thread within his vendorship forum, we now are forewarned that rules on an internet forum are more important then ethics if they are in conflict with your "rules." That black and white excutive authority wont help this site expand, and describes how seriously skewed you take this volunteering gig.

You are free to express your feelings toward moderators in the dome. We are fine with that actually. Just don't issue threats and such.

How is it ethical to think two wrongs will make a right? (concerning the skar situation)

Because our ethics in the real world would allow this.. it is not wrong to rebel against poor buisness practices or business ethics

Thats his place that he pays for. Everyone else can knock his products all day as long as its done in the dome, hence why the OD not buy from Skar thread hasn't been taken down.

Its not, but keep it in the dome.

Actually that is not true. You have to apply for legal permits to picket a company and depending on how you do so the company has a legal right to sue you for your actions.

Just like anything else there is a time/place for such things. The dome is our place to allow you to do so.
