Are you fxxking me???

I have still yet to see the problem you are having, from my side anyway. You want to do whatever, we enforce the rules, does that about sum it up?
If so whats the problem? They we don't let you do whatever you want?
that your demarcation is fucking wrong

If he is used the word correctly, then he would be suggesting that we do not have a clearly drawn line or where we draw the line on rules is not correct.

If that is the case, then I can agree to an extent. As we have brought up clearing up the rules several times in the back room.

words only have as much power as you give them, being overly aggressive is rude but using a cuss word means nothing
words arent some metaphysical thing in reality or transcendent reality.. We created them, we give them meaning and significance

I agree, but there is no reason to create a word and not be allowed to use it, like you say that were created for a purpose and there is no point in trying to censor reality

youre arguing points where my understanding starts to blur.. I believe right and wrong is all perspective on our individual human condition.. I dont believe in an absolute morality like religion.

Ah, I see where your argument is then.

In a situation like we have with this forum and how you think about rules and such won't click with each other. I'm not saying your way of thinking is at all wrong in anyway, just that it won't apply here. The major reason is as you to just talked about.

While a word by itself my not mean anything to anyone. That same word in a sentence or phrase will mean something....but what does it mean? Well for a few people the same thing, for others something totally different. Thus meaning that we can read the same phrase and yet get something different from it. That is why many of the rules here are a bit "open ended" and allow for each moderator to interpret the situation and apply the rule as it fits with that exact situation. Thus meaning that even two different mods will see something different. One may be just fine with what was posted, but the next one to read it may not be and take it down, give an infraction, or worse ban the offender.

That is the down side to being mod, we do not always know what exactly is meant by what is posted and with how quickly this forum moves we can not always sit and try to figure it out and just have to make a personal judgement call on the content as we see it.

All though, as I stated just a min ago, I do think the rules could have a bit more structure to them. I don't think it is as easy as making them cut and dry, but I can see where more detail can be added to help members understand where the lines actually are.
When I was a mod, it was *******.

Now I think they're over-modding because 1) They're new, and need to establish "their rules" , 2) They take this as an actual job (lmfao, right?) 3) They really don't know what this place is about 4) They have their biases to certain members (I've had two infractions in the last two weeks and I've been here nine fu-Cking years without incident)

When you think about it, it's just kinda sad they take their volunteering so seriously.
Those days are long over. Back then mods would ban people for $5, they would change sigs to men with **** in rainbow socks, or just loan out their mod powers to friends and let them wreak havoc on the members. The rules arent the same any more.
Cough, cough @whitedragon551; @pro\-rabbit; @audioholic :sword:
Its funny you complain. You havent been infracted yet, yet you complain about us all the time.
I've already said my words to them in the mod backroom.

It's funny, but the "older" mods will openly say that less moderation is better (less getting people on the menial stuff, and just let a lot more slide).

Then the new mods will come in and make a hissy-fit that something needs to be done about XXX and "we need action!", and again... older mods will basically say "dude, relax...stop over-modding".

Anyone find it weird that the older mods...guys who have been doing this for years, and have exponentially more experience, will admit that less finite-moderation is a better thing...but these new mods think that every little issue needs to be pressed and discussed...every little thing has to have attention brought to it.

I mean, it's not like experience has anything to do with it...noooooo...

You have to wonder what kind of lives people live in order to spend so much time volunteering and bringing up issues about such, in the grand scheme of things, stupid issues... like some guy bashing a company because the company owner was a dumba$s.

Just ponder that for a few minutes.
We tried letting things slide and we had members complain we played favorites. The member base cant have their cake and eat it too.

I'm not religious either, but I do believe that there is a right and a wrong that applies to everyone regardless of whether or not your parents raised you to be racist or open minded. I dont use religion to construct my concepts of morality, I just use good ole common sense

We cool //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif hope you liked that jlw3.. and I admit I lost my train of thought in this whole argument..I was reading and trying to uphold something initially which I prolly lost sight of..

Oh wait thats trolling.. We cant warn someone that they are being a dumbass.. Trolling isnt being an asshole for the sake of our ability to be one..

We certainly cant express our emotions towards moderators @pro\-rabbit;) and how they should conduct themselves.. that would be dumb to give another advice so they can receive a better response
Thats ironic. This very thread questions the moderators. You sir have lost all credibility.

I played around with a few recones with it actually. Had some fun with it actually, I do thank you for that.

No worry on the "argument" at all man. While many question how "open" the mods are to things, I try and show that while we can keep the conversations on target a bit and some what civil I'm all ears to hear what you all have to say.
