I said it earlier, you guys are just going to keep catching crap until you can establish a pattern here for others to follow. Things like this always come up with a regime change.I think the fact that this thread exists, that its still here for all to read, is a testament to the site not being over moderated. At many other sites, you cant look at a moderator sideways without getting banned. To be honest, the mods here accept a larger portion of hate than those places. Its easier to mod at a more strict site. Before long the members who remain accept all the rules, and things run pretty smoothly. Here, the rules are looser, in an attempt to offer our members a higher level of freedom, at the expense of having rules that are more subjective.
Sometimes the argument is that this site is over moderated, like when the N word rule was announced. Sometimes the argument is that the rules are too vague and need more structure, like in this thread. To me that says that if nothing else, we are somewhere in between.
I would not give an infraction for that nor would I delete the post because you are informing the op that he would ruin his equipment in a was that was not degrading. I have no issue with cussing as I have the vocabulary of a sailor but the problems comes from people taking shots at other members. Yes some people may ask extremely stupid questions but outside of the dome the conversation needs to remain respectful. The OP of this thread could have simply stated that painting the windows would look like **** in his opinion or better yet could stay out of it all together. Its not his van so what does it matter? If you feel the need to point out that someone is a dumbshit then call them out in the dome.Oh no! I completely understand what you implying. If someone posts something about how many amps they can hook up to one sub, and if I posted, you stupid ****, that'd be qualification for said infraction. If instead I said, dude you hooking multiple amps to one sub would **** up your system, then I wouldn't necessarily get sighted by mods.
Understood! I've actually walked out if a few threads cause they were so rediculous.. I felt it wasn't deserving of an actual response.I would not give an infraction for that nor would I delete the post because you are informing the op that he would ruin his equipment in a was that was not degrading. Amen. Sometimes you just have to realize no matter what you say, it'll change absolutely nothingUnderstood! I've actually walked out if a few threads cause they were so rediculous.. I felt it wasn't deserving of an actual response.
Also yes! Lol I've read the same thing numerous times! I have this sub, what amp should I get? Yeah but I like this amp... What amp should I get then? Lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gifLOL there have been times I wanted to throw my hands in the air or smack someone for asking the exact same question that had been asked 1,000 times before but I chose to leave the thread. I ask a lot of questions because I'm still learning and learn something new everyday I'm here but generally I will search first before asking or the question has to do with my specific situation or install. Generally equipment specific questions have all been answered before.
One thing that gets on my nerves more than anything is one person creating multiple threads asking the exact same question.
