Are these CVR subs a good deal?

yes! i had mine in a probox barely doing 143s and with my HALF inch box (airspace in trunk issues) tuned to 37 htz peaking at 55 hit a 145.7.
PROBOX FTL(lose)
Yep The box is just as important as the sub

ya for real offer him 25 dollars
Huh?

And you guys don't recommend keeping them in the kicker box?

I'm a noob when it comes to subs... What kind of box do you think I should use? (I'm probably gonna buy one, rather than make it myself...).

Also, any ideas on an amp I should use for these?

As you probably guessed, I'm on a budget //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

i would love to see 2 pos cvr subs do anywhere near 140 lolz. they are at best a decent budget sub not an spl sub by any means.
YEE of little faith! heres pics of one of my shows in april this year when i had em.

Yea no way in hell you could do 140s on the tl with cvrs. But in a good box they wouldn't be too horrible for the price
