Are there alott of problems w\PIONEER ?

I blew my pre-out ground because I was messing with the RCA's when the system was on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Fixed with my trusty wire mod though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
explain how it can be fixed... all of my outs on my P8600 are toast...

Take 3 strands of 16 gauge speaker wire. Preferably 1 foot each so you have some to play with.

Remove plastic shielding from entire strand of wire. Wrap the strands around each set of preouts. Three total sets = 3 strands. Ground each strand to the chassis of your HU (It is ok to use the side mount screws from the stock to aftermarket in-dash DIN, usually side plates.)

And yes, Pioneer HAS addressed the issue in their line up. They now have a fused wire running across their Pre-outs internally. If your Pre-outs are blown, chances are somehow they got shocked and blew that fuse. I heard this from a technician.

I blew mine up because I was tuning a sub amp and the ground wire came out. That ground was found through my RCA's and then into my deck. I was less than thrilled. My RCA's came out fine though, just not the Pre-outs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

So you're saying that a few bad headunits mean that the whole Pioneer inventory is bad?? That doesn't make any sense but whatever.
Geeeeeee if I look at what you quoted me saying.....I didnt say that...... but

But I understand that pioneer owners are trying to validate their purchase. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Is that like TC owners validating their purchases?

Anyway, my brother has the 880 and it is awesome. No pre-out issues, no CD getting stuck issues. Plus if you go Premeir you get a two year Warranty. Can't beat that with a stick if you ask me. I have had my Alpine a little over a year and it is already starting to eat CD's and wig out once in a while.

pioneer is the best, i have owned/bought 3 (740MP, 860MP, 880) within the last 5 years for different cars and all have worked exceptionally well. I get on here and check to see what ppl say bad about a certain receiver then buy it anyway and it works great.....so maybe its not a problem with the receiver.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Knock on wood. My 8600mp has been perfect. Great HU. Nice color display. I'm pleased. Knock on wood.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
