Are there alott of problems w\PIONEER ?

I've never heard bad about any of the newer Pioneer lines. Their older stuff had pre-out issues, but those are long gone issues corrected in the newer lines. That screen is t3h *** though.

Doo EEt!

Last Pioneer I had was the DEHP7700 (2005 model) and had the pre-outs go out on me twice on two separate HU's. A buddy of mine has the 7800 and just sent his off to Circuit City's service center because his pre-outs went out.

Most of the time the pre-out issue is caused by people playing with the RCA cables while the system is on/has power (Not saying this is the case EVERY time, as shit happens)

I blew my pre-out ground because I was messing with the RCA's when the system was on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Fixed with my trusty wire mod though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Pioneer still hasn't fixed their engine noise and pre-out problem? mines an 04 model and it had that to but i fixed it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I had the 880 and had preout issues. Cant tell me thats old issues thats been resolved //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
So you're saying that a few bad headunits mean that the whole Pioneer inventory is bad?? That doesn't make any sense but whatever.

I am considering buying a brand new PIONEER DEH-7800MP the one with the color screen OEL . Anyhow, are there any common problems with any of these models, ??? any models to stay away from ? Before I spend 300$ I want to know this !
most the common problems involve rca issues. odds are you wont encounter those. and even if you do assuming you bought them through a reputable dealer its a non-issue due to the fact that you'll receive a new unit due to your factory warranty

i personally had two of these units. one faceplate got ****edup due to me dropping it constantly on whatever surface was present (i was 16 and figured it was invincible ) the second was due to a thief. i should mention that i was glad the unit got stolen. it had started to eat the tops off of cd's. while im sure that was not a pioneer issue so much, it was incredibly annoying as it cost me alot of money... thank god some moron stole the unit and gave me an excuse to buy a new one. In all honesty the damage was probably due to the one and a half years of rally racing the car was subject too.

I cannot comment on the 7800 as i don't have one personally, but i do have a 6800mp and i love it. This was an upgrade from a factory HU, so the difference was immediate and clear. But, as i kept using it and learning it, i really came to like it a lot. I have owned other head units, but now that i have owned a pioneer, i don't think i will ever own any other brand. Good luck and nice choice with the 7800!

mine on cold days will not eject the cd i have to tap the player hard to get the cd out sometimes, guess it's time for a new headunit maybe idk

Are these store bought CDs, or CD-Rs.?? If they're CD-Rs do you have sticker labels on them?? I know I had problems with sticker labels with my 860 and I will no longer use labels on my CD-Rs. Lightscribe or nothing for me from now on.
