Are my JL 10w7's hooked up right, seem like they don't hit that hard? Help?

Id check the resistance of the subs, do the big three, run 1/0 agw, maybe a 2nd battery, not 100% needed but it would help, but first i would swap out the jensen for something with higher voltage preouts, the jensen screens have .5 volt preouts, when you can easily find a pioneer, alpine, or eclipse with 4 to 8 volt preouts, justg my opinion

Oh, i went back to circuit city today, and the guy that did my system was there, and he was the only one so i talked to him for a good hour, and hes redoing my whole system tomorrow and throwing in 0 gauge wire, and a 150a fuse and new fuse holder/box.

He tested it and the subs were at 4 ohms? Should i tell him to bring them down to around 1-2 ohms instead?

Hes a good guy, and he also has a jl system in his sentra spec-v. It also helped that i gae him a big tip the first time.

WTF? The W7 series subs are 3 ohm subwoofers, which means they should read 3 ohm impedance or, if he's checking DC, 2.75 ohm DC resistance (per the JL spec sheet). If those two are wired in series they should measure 6 ohm impedance, or if they're in parallel (like they SHOULD be if the installer knows jack !)(#* what he's doing), he should get a 1.5 ohm impedance.

There's NO way he should get a 4-ohm impedance. Either he's lying to you (and doesn't know what he's talking about) or he doesn't know jack !@@# how to measure impedance.

I don't know how we wired them, but i was standing behind him when he checked it and the meter showed 4 ohm?
