are directed or hifonics class d amps alright

hey guys,i'm in the market to buy a sub amp around 800 watts rms at 2 ohms.

which one of these are better or should i stay away from both.

thanks for the input,i never used a directed,i have had hifonics from the old boltar-zues days...found an 1500d refurbed on ebay for around 150 shipped.is that a good deal?thanks again.

directed makes solid amps. that refurb is probably through ikesound which isn't the greatest place to deal with. i don't like hifonics. don't do rated power and tend to overheat at 1 ohm

well it aint ike so you should be alright but i honestly never seen a company that has had so many refurbs. that doesnt say much for directed. lol

i had a dirrected 1100d and i was very impressed by it, never over heated, never went into protect, never had a problem at all, it was the older style one though, im not sure about the newer ones/refurbed ones

Directed amps are better, as long as it is no refrub, there is supposedly a bunch of bad ones going around. Hifionics do not put out rated power and tend to get hot at times.

Let me know how that amp works, I think their amps are refurbs also. Hopefully they are not like Ikesounds refrubs.
