are amp caps nessecary for the boost

the farad caps that give that sudden burst of energy.. are they worth buying cause i have 2 400 watt 12's subs... and 2 400 6x9's speakers hooked up to a 1800 watt 4channel.... if it helps can u plz notify me cause ive been looking them up

It's not a myth..........they really do work and if you like bass.........you definitely need one of these.

Caps are most beneficial to a system when your car's electrical system is functioning properly- meaning lights not dimming- etc.

If you do not have that issue - then go for it. Caps take some of the strain off of the electrical system allowing a more balanced current flow throughout the car. These are expecially usefull for subwoofer amplifiers as they demand the most current.

However, if your car is allready struggling for power, then a cap will do little good.
