well i hooked up the aq2200d to the 15" audiopulse axis today. and i also did the big 3 on my truck. i set the gains and such what dj told me to (he was on the phone with me). the gain is around 3/4 way up. well first off i have to crank the volume knob on the hu up alot for it to start hitting. and when i turn it up alot the clipping light comes on. thats normal but the weird thing is that it barley pushes my sub?? when i hooked the sub to my friends te1501 it traveled almost double what the aq2200d does. i thought for sure it would almost max out that sub!! the only thing i can think of is my crappy kenwood deck that only has a 1 volt preamp out put. what did i do wrong?? thanks

I've seen this happen with one of those newest Orion HCCA amps and a low RCA voltage Pioneer HU. No matter how high we cranked the gain the gain we could barely get a pair of 10" Arrrgghs moving. If its a new amp I would assume that that there is an installation issue

subsonic 30

LPF 100

im pretty sure i installed the whole thing right??

will a hu with a 5 volt preamp output fix it because i ordered one of those last week and it should come in pretty soon.

When I got a 4 volt pre-out with 1 sub it was seriously I think 10 db louder than my 2 volt sony that the car came with.

Being "pretty sure" about setting up everything right is not good enough. Tomorrow go double check your wiring starting from the amp then back of the sub box, then inside the box.

You don't HAVE to take your subs out...just check them with a DMM if you have one. That's a lot easier...

Also list how you have everything set on your amp.

ok a quick overview of the system.

AMP- aq2200d

-1/0 gauge wire big 3 upgrade

-1/0 gauge wire running to amp power terminal and 1/0 gauge ground wire

-remote wire plugged in

-bass remote knob plugged in

-speaker terminals: - - + + negative hooked on the far left and positive hooked on the far right.

-rca's hooked up correctly

-gain set at a little over 3/4

-LPF set at about 100

-Subsonic set at about 30

-master/slave switch set to master

HU- kenwood 132

-working properly

bass set at 0 (ranges from -8 to 8)

Sub- audiopulse axis 15"

-dual 2 ohm wired at about a 1 ohm load

-wires are hooked up correctly in box

i have to crank the volume on the HU for the sub to actually start moving. with the bass control knob turned to full it clips out at about 3/4 volume on the HU and still the sub is barley moving.

i used to have an mtx 9500 with a jbl gto 1201 amp and with the HU turned only 2/3 way up it slammed harder than my new setup and i was still using the same crappy HU //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

i dont know what the fvck i did wrong:confused:??? any suggestions?? thanks
