AQ2200D not working?

So i hooked the amp up last night and wired the sub to it and it wasnt moving the sub. The amp powers on and everything. Wired 3 different subs up to it at every ohm load i could and still nothing. Changed out the RCA's for a brand new pair.

Is there a way to test to see if the amp is even putting out a signal?

This is so gay... anyone got any ideaS?

if you dont know how to do this, you may not want to be playing with amp settings very much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

test it with a multimeter

Take your RCAs and plug them into your other amp but TURN IT DOWN FIRST. Just to SEE if you are getting a signal into the amp. You might not have the sub-out turned on at the HU.

Brand new subs and amp won't both be blown. Referring to the same problem you posted in the sub section.

ya i know itll work...i didnt even think about that.

I have a DMM in my hand right now but i never use this thing.

What do i set it to to check the amplifier outputs..

thanks for the patience guys.

AC voltage. Check your RCA's outputs. Check your Head unit also and make sure your SubOut is turned up also..

When you get done with that.

1 turn all the amp settings down. EVERYTHING.

2 Raise your Xover to about 11:00

3 Raise your gain to about 11:00

Check the Output voltage on the amp DMM SET TO AC. Use a test tone at 45 cycles and tell me what your output voltage is, if there is any..

Thats the simplest way i can explain it to you.

sorry.

IF AC is what im supposed to set it to then apparently none of my RCA's are sending out a signal.

This cannot be right because the DMM says the 4-channel RCA's aren't giving a signal. The 4-channel amp is working just fine.

I just dont get this

If your input signal off the HU reads 0 on your DMM you need to take another audio source and plug it up straight to the amp.

For example if you have a Ipod get a Cord that has RCA Jacks on it and insert the 1/8 into the Ipod and the RCA on to the amp.

Leave your gain and Crossover where i told you to set them, Leave you SSF filter all the way down. Find a song and play it. Increase the volume until you hear the sub play..

Heres a pic of the Cord..

Also Do you have the remote gain unit hooked up?? If so unhook it for the test or make sure its al the way up. On the Aq2200 the remote is a actual gain control that only increases the gain in real time to the point where you have it set on the amp.

Try that. If you can get me the make/model number of your DMM and let me know..

just pulled the 9v out and licked it...all is well.
Any other ideas....

HAh im skipping school right now to figure this out....****
Stick the DMM probes in the speaker inputs on the amp (where you hook your subs into), and make sure you set to AC voltage on DMM as well. Make sure your gain is turned up and that your remote gain is unplugged.

P.s. Use a 50 Hz tone and set the gain to read 46.9 Volts.

Good luck,

Larson
