I was wondering, what kind of power I could expect burping the aq1200 at 0.5 ohm?

Do it on the 2200, not the 1200.

Unless you have strapped another 1200, don't

I didn't say the aq1200 couldn't do it, It voids the warranty, and could possibly cause problems for it. I ran my aq1200 at .5 for about 10 minutes testing a Btl out, didn't seem to lag up and such, and not that the clipping light on the bass knob is accurate at all, it didn't go off.

No 100% sure, but Id say i was giving a 1100 watts, over 1000 watts for sure. Subsonic up to around 27hz, lpf allowing a 0hz to 55 hz, and gains fixed on my headunit voltage.

Just be easy with it, burping, I guess you could do it, just know what the consequences could be if you don't have the electrical to back the amp up.

So, do you think I would have better luck with running a dsc1500 at 0.5 ohm? To be honest I am looking for something that will be around 800-1000 at 2 ohms and 2000+ at 0.5 ohm.

You will not get 2000 out of an aq1200.

Why not invest a little more and get the aq2200? Alot easier, and well worth it. Plus, it can defintely take it.

Another aq1200 added to your current one would be 2400 watts.

An aq2200 is just at 2200 watts. Solid 14 volts will make it put out anywhere around 2400-2500. Read their website, it tells you.

But once again, make sure you have the electrical to back this up, or you can damage your car battery, alt, and amplifier.

30 sec is a long burp lol. as for aq1200 if your electrical is good shouldn't be an issue but will not be 2k maybe 1600 or so. ive ran a 2200 and 3500d's daily at .5 just because its wired at .5 dont mean its seeing it you have to account for impedance rise.
