I am purchasing a sundown 1500d and look for a pair of 12s

the SDC2.5 or DD 2500

Advantages:

DD: I can get dual 2 ohm so i can wire to .5 and with impedance rise I will be around 1 ohm.

AQ: I think its sexy as ****.

Disadvantages:

DD: no carbon fiber

AQ: only can wire to one ohm and be above 1 ohm maybe around 2 ohm and not get full power.

What do yo u think???? and if anyon has these for sale or will sell for the right price let me know because that is a big factor.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

had the audioques before and had same prob. cant wire low enough! but they are good spl subs maybe but daily they dont sound that great. hdcs are differant maybe but the sdcs are meh at best. get the dds

Well given your two choices and the price for both. the AQ's are 164 shipped and the DD's are around 275 ea. just use the money for the DD's and buy the AQ's and use the other 200 towards another sundown amp. I dont know what they sell for but you should be able to get a good used one for 200 or alittle more. with 2 sdc2.5 wired to 1 ohm you should be fine for a strapped pair and you should be around 2ohm after rise

2 SDC's would do fine off a single 1500. I've built several enclosures for them and all were running off 1200-1500watts and they were quite impressive. They only need 600+ watts to get loud.

For the guy who didn't like the SQ either your box was wrong or you don't know how to tune your HU. SQ is very solid on them for a daily driver playing all kinds of music...

Elaborate?
DD spares no expense making their products, hence more expensive. The owner of AQ is the father of the guy who owns DD aka Jassa.

AQ is a basically a budget line Digital Designs, the designs of the subs and their specs are fairly similar. The upper end of AQ are made in the same build house as Digital Designs but they use lesser materials, where as DD incorporates much more machining of the motors better wire, spiders, glue ect....

With the exception of the HDC3A which uses American soft parts and a Asian motor.
