AQ made in CHINA?

I purchased a new AQ sd8 2.0 got it today and much to my dismay a bright chrome sticker saying made in China on the magnet. Is this the way the car stereo industry has gone? Or am I a fool for thinking a manufactuer from Oklahoma actually made their own equipment in house?

most companies nowadays are manufactured in china. just because they are made their doesnt mean their crap

digital designs and sound solutions audio are the most popular ones that are made here

Yep, Digital Designs, I think Fi and Ascendant Audio do (same company). DC might.

They are. Actually father/son companies, if you want to get technical. But I believe AQ uses some of the same theories as DD, but they are definitely of different quality.

AQ still makes a decent quality woofer, with all that said.

and the reason DC isnt getting motors in for another 5 weeks is because their workers in china are on strike.

i'll stick with DD any day but when it comes to running amps i just gotta go with AQ. no way im paying that much of a crazy price for a dd amp lol
