people like you **** me off, you know exactly what I mean when I say "1500w won't ever get that cone moving" I obviously mean an amplifier rated for 1500w wouldn't do jack shit to move that woofer. But you see it as an opportunity to wave your **** around.8 layer I think, but a true 1500rms on music is close to 8k in amplifier power. add that to the fact it's Chinese and aq's don't have the greatest cooling in the world and I think a true clamped 1500 is pushing it
you mean people that make sure you can't spread ignorance around? If I wanted to show you up I would have brought up the fact that if one was so inclined you could make that sub bottom out on a 1500rms amplifier. Plenty of enclosure designs will make a driver move more than it would free air. I guess I shouldn't be surprised with a Gucci quote in your signature.people like you **** me off, you know exactly what I mean when I say "1500w won't ever get that cone moving" I obviously mean an amplifier rated for 1500w wouldn't do jack shit to move that woofer. Also, i agree that fs typically isn't the best indicator of low end response, but its hard to ignore the fact that it has such a high fs...
These extreme hypothetical situations you love to throw around are impractical and immature, they are what you substitute for constructive and productive conversation because you feel the need to say something.you mean people that make sure you can't spread ignorance around? It doesn't matter if I knew what he meant or not. What matters is he said ''why would they rate a driver like that at 1500rms, when 1500 won't even move the cone."I'm siding with fourocho on this. Wenn du whatever, you took that out of context, and you know it. You knew exactly what he meant by 1500w rms. You may be right, but it doesn't prove anything. No one is going to look at a woofer's rating like that.
I doubt they have the equipment to get their own t/s specs. The specs they got were from the oem companyAQ posted NIB specs.. They dont have any break in. I asked them why they did this - no response.
