before i ask. yes i did do a search. and i found some suggestions. but i think im gonna go with 4 cubes at 40 hz. that sound right? but i was wondering if anybody could help me out with a box design.heighth and width dont really matter. sub up port back.

Thats what DJ reccomends for the HDC315 but what amp do you have pushing it..?

If it's for music, i would consider tuning more like 35Hz or even a bit lower....but the size sounds about right.

im only using 1200 watts (hifonics 1208d) because of a stock electrical system. do you think i could get by using 1600 watts on stock electrical? and what do you mean by 16^2 of port? sorry im kinda new to this.

well depends what your stock alternator is... but yeah you could do 1600 watts just fine without clipping..

If you only have 1200-1600 to throw at it I'd consider doing 4.25 - 4.5cubes.

ok so 4.5 cubes with 62^2 of port will tune it at 38 hz?

i dont get this whole ported box deal. i dont get how to get 4.5 cubes. do i displace the port too? because im guessing if it 4.5 cubes then i put a port in i have to displace whatever area it has taken up because if i dont the tuning will be way off. this is how i want it to look so could someone maybe help me with some dimensions and explain whas goin on. im sorry im a noob. i did as much research on here, on other forums, and on google to figure this out. i even got winisd pro and i cant figure out how the hell to use that thing. heres a picture of what i want it to look like.
